Whether your boat needs formal classification depends on how it will be used. A private owner vessel may not require it; a commercial charter liveaboard usually will. Indonesian vessels are often classed with BKI (Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia), and international class is available where a commercial operation demands it. We document the build from the keel so that classification, if you need it, is achievable rather than retrofitted.

We actively encourage an independent pre-delivery marine survey before you accept the boat. A qualified surveyor working for you — not for the builder — is one of the healthiest things that can happen at handover, and we welcome it precisely because we build to a standard that survives scrutiny.

Independent survey and inspection is a distinct professional service and is handled by third parties; we simply make sure the boat and its documentation are ready for it.

Before handover the vessel is sea-trialled so that hull, engineering and systems are proven afloat, not just on paper. You receive the build record and the documentation the vessel needs for its intended use and flag. Compliance is treated as part of building well, not as an afterthought.
